Joe (Joseph) Pientka III identified himself in an Aug. 30, 2016 FBI Electronic Communication as a Supervisory Special Agent of a Foreign Counterintelligence Squad at the Washington Field Office. His civil-docket motion states he was on temporary duty to Crossfire Hurricane from about Aug. 1, 2016, until Jan. 7, 2017, rotated off Jan. 9, 2017, and “is referenced in the OIG Report as ‘SSA 1.’” No second equally notable public Joe Pientka was found for this file.
